Description

In a time marked by rapid change across the packaging and recycling landscape, PET plastic continues to demonstrate its resilience, scalability, and essential role in a circular economy. This presentation brings together three areas of NAPCOR’s work: the newly released 2024 PET Recycling Report, offering a clear look at trends, collection performance, challenges, and emerging opportunities; the latest PET Thermoform Update and NAPCOR’s “Increasing PET Thermoform Recycling" white paper, highlighting actionable pathways to strengthen PET thermoform circularity; and finally, a look at NAPCOR in action—how our communications and government relations efforts are elevating PET’s voice, shaping extended producer responsibility (EPR) policy conversations, and supporting advocacy efforts to ensure strong domestic markets. Attendees will walk away with a sharper understanding of where PET stands today, where it’s headed, and what it will take to build a stronger, more aligned North American recycling system.
