Description

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) circularity is underway, as evidenced by a continual increase in post-consumer recycled PET (RPET) going into bottles, findings from beverage container comparative life cycle assessments (LCAs), and the emerging presence of efforts to capture and recycle even more PET. How can we best keep the forces moving toward circularity for PET packaging?

This presentation will explore the key drivers and challenges of PET circularity, and discuss strategies for accelerating the transition to a truly circular PET economy. Topics will include:

  • The current state of PET recycling and RPET use
  • The environmental benefits of PET circularity
  • Innovations to increase PET recovery and recycling
  • Opportunities for collaboration and innovation across the PET value chain
