Metal packaging (a.k.a. cans) supports a more sustainable future across many dimensions of sustainability, including enhanced branding, the reduction of food waste, infinite recyclability and the highest recycle rates for food and beverages.  New technologies are driving increased environmental performance by further increasing recycling rates, through novel methods to reduce the amount of material in each container, and via new branding solutions, such as Crown’s Quantum technology™ and Velox’s high-speed direct-to-shape digital printing for metal packaging.  These advancements are critical to keeping up with growing global beverage can consumption, which is set to increase by 50 percent between 2020 and 2030.  Crown’s highly recognized Twentyby30™ Sustainability Program will also be highlighted.
