Description

Mechanical. Molecular. Gasification. Methanolysis. The possibilities for recycling have skyrocketed with so many recycling technologies now available. But not all recycling technologies are equally beneficial or truly circular. This isn’t a matter of semantics. It’s a matter of principles — six of them, to be exact.

In our presentation, we’ll share the set of six principles Eastman has developed to guide recycling investments that benefit people, planet and, yes, profit. We’ll demonstrate how we’re using them within industry partnerships, like The PET Recycling Coalition via The Recycling Partnership, and as we shape long-term investments in three new molecular recycling facilities, including the one we announced in Fall 2022 in collaboration with PepsiCo.

We know we’re not the only ones who ask ourselves, “How do we decide which technology is best?” or, “How do we get more recycled content into more packaging?” or even, “How do we make sure recycled content = lower GHG emissions?” If you’ve asked any of these questions, this presentation is for you. When you follow these principles, you can be confident you’re helping create a fully circular plastics value chain.
